Small Business Grant

Artists and creative businesses in the Byron Shire may be eligible for a recovery grant of up to 10k for small businesses and not-for-profit (50K) organisations that suffered direct damage as a result of the NSW storms and floods in February and March 2022 to help pay for costs of clean-up and reinstatement of operations. Apply through Service NSW, speak to Service NSW at the Mullumbuimby Recovery centre. More Information on recovery funding is at nsw.gov.au/floods

Northern Rivers Community Foundation Quick Response Grants 

The Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF), in partnership with the Byron Community Centre, has launched the Northern Rivers Flood Relief Fund to offer quick response grants of up to $10,000 for not-for-profit community organisations. View Grants

Coaching for NSW Creative Businesses
Nortec and NSW Business Connect will be providing FREE personalised support to Northern Rivers creatives in the wake of the ongoing flood crisis until the end of financial year.  Whether you were directly impacted with loss of belongings, business or housing or were impacted indirectly via the ongoing fallout and demands on the community, sessions will give you the opportunity to unpack and find some gentle steps forward.   Register Here

Byron Shire Council Flood Recovery Grants (NOW CLOSED)

Artists can apply to Byron Shire Council for up to $1,000 in funding to cover clean up and damage, loss of income, purchase of equipment, stock or repair, or for recovery of practice. Due to the overwhelming impact of the 2022 floods, a strategic priority area has been identified for the Creative Public Spaces Grants in 2022. In 2022 the pool of $10,000 will be redirected to Flood Recovery Grants for individual artists and creative producers impacted who live in the Byron Shire. Applications have now closed for this round.
