Tabitha McGregor is an artist and designer, based on the North Coast of NSW where she lives with her husband and two young children.

Her primary medium is graphite on paper, however Tabitha’s newest body of work also explores alternative mediums such as sculpture and painting.

In this series, Tabitha explores the language of the unconscious, intuitively choosing found objects, words and symbols to represent life experiences and emotions.

On a deeply personal note Tabitha’s recent loss of her mother following the loss of her father, inspired an exploration of the relationship between life and death, memory, choices, balance, love and loss.

Deeply connected to nature, spiritualism and subconscious human memory, Tabitha comments on the innate power that comes from reducing a complex and multi layered experience into a symbolic language a central focal point, allowing not only clarity of experience but also honouring the true essence of that experience.

Tabitha enjoys the ability of telling a story through symbolism, a way of ordering the chaos of life.

Tabitha graduated with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in graphic design and minoring in Fine Arts, at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2001.

She and her husband own a fashion brand in Byron Bay, where she designs apparel collections for an international audience.
