Saturday 5 August at 1pm at Lone Goat Gallery
“Learning about the natural world is one thing, learning from the natural world is another” – Janine Benyus
The community are invited to join artist Shona Wilson discussing her collaborative work in our current exhibition Mending & Tending: Art that works for Nature. Shona will be joined by eco psychologist Dr Eshana Bragg exploring ways to connect our hearts, minds and hands through art with Nature.
After the talk Shona will facilitate a ‘Be Part of the Healing’ workshop. Participants can stitch into Macaranga leaves as well as create ‘tree bandages’. These will be added to the project at Lone Goat Gallery and Torakina Nature Reserve. The workshop runs for approx. 2 hours.
These are free events, all welcome. No bookings are required for the talk but please RSVP if you would like to participate in the workshop as spaces are limited.
